The 2025 Toyota GR Cup season rolls into the lush Virginia countryside for one of the purest drivers’ circuits on the calendar: Virginia International Raceway.
From July 18–20, Karl Forman and the #03 Precision Racing LA Toyota GR86 take on Rounds 7 & 8 at VIR, a 3.27-mile, 17-turn natural-terrain road course known for its high-speed flow and serious commitment. This is an old-school track in the best way—fast straights, big elevation changes, and iconic sections like the Climbing Esses and the Roller Coaster that reward bravery, precision, and rhythm.
Midway through his GR Cup rookie campaign, VIR is a key test of Karl’s strengths. His smooth, consistent driving style and disciplined race management are critical here, where one missed apex can snowball through an entire sector. Expect packs of GR86s slicing through the Esses, late-braking duels into Turn 1, and wheel-to-wheel action down the long back straight as drivers fight for every inch of track.
Whether you’re camped out at the fences in Alton or following along from home, VIR delivers some of the most exciting racing of the season.
