MEET KARL
Karl Forman is an American sports car driver competing in the GT4 America Series alongside Ryan Eversley with Precision Racing LA, driving the #03 GR Toyota Supra GT4. Known for his natural talent, consistency, and insatiable drive for success, Karl blends old-school racecraft with a modern, data-driven approach shaped by years behind the wheel—on dirt, on asphalt, and in top-level sim racing.
Karl’s story in motorsport started on two wheels. At 13, he began racing motocross, drawn to the speed, balance, and commitment it demanded. The stakes were high, and so were the risks. A serious crash led to a career-ending injury—and the loss of his spleen—forcing him to step away from bikes just as his passion for racing was really taking off. Even then, it was clear the fire to compete wasn’t going anywhere.
Looking for a way to keep Karl racing in something slightly safer, his family steered him toward four wheels. At 16, he climbed into a Legends car at the Las Vegas Bullring, trading motocross ruts for concrete walls and pack racing under the lights. He quickly rose to become one of the top young drivers at a national level, learning how to fight in close quarters, control a car on the edge, and stay composed. Through high school and into his late teens, Karl continued to race all over the country, stacking up experience and racecraft against deep fields.
As he got older, Karl stepped back from full-time racing to focus on building his career, but the competitive itch never went away. He found a new outlet in sim racing, competing in Gran Turismo at a national level and frequently ranking inside the top 5 in the United States. Sim racing sharpened his technical skills: reading data, learning new tracks quickly, and extracting lap time through discipline and repetition rather than just raw aggression. It became the perfect bridge between his past in grassroots racing and the professional future he still wanted.
In 2025, Karl decided to find out exactly how those virtual skills translated back to the real world. He returned to the track at Buttonwillow Raceway Park for a test, where his pace immediately turned heads. His lap times and consistency impressed everyone watching and confirmed what Karl already knew deep down—he was ready to chase his passion in professional motorsport once again.
That momentum carried him into the 2025 Toyota GR Cup season, racing the #03 GR86 with Precision Racing LA. Traveling to iconic circuits across the United States, Karl made steady progress as the year went on, learning the car, mastering traffic, and dialing in his race craft against a stacked national field. His hard work paid off with top-10 finishes and the coveted Hard Charger award, recognizing his ability to fight forward through the pack when it matters most.
On track, Karl is defined by precision and race management. He’s strong in the wet, comfortable on the limit, and focused on making smart, calculated moves rather than desperate lunges. Over a race distance, his consistency and feel for the car allow him to manage tires, pick his moments, and capitalize when others make mistakes—qualities shaped by everything from motocross race starts to Legends car brawls and thousands of virtual laps.
Off track, Karl is as approachable as he is competitive. He genuinely enjoys connecting with fans at autograph sessions and race weekend events, taking time to talk about the car, the series, and what it’s like to battle wheel-to-wheel at national tracks. Growing up around his family’s dealership business, cars were always more than just transportation—they were part of the family identity. That background gives Karl a unique perspective: he understands both the passion of the fans and the responsibility of representing teams and partners at the highest level.
For Karl, this chapter in Toyota GR Cup and the next in GT4 America is more than a comeback; it’s the evolution of a dream that started with motocross at 13 and night races at the Bullring. Every weekend in the #03 GR Toyota Supra GT4 is another step forward, another chance to learn, and another opportunity to prove what he can do against some of the best up-and-coming drivers in North American sports car racing.
